HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Dec 31, 2008 21:03

Hello, dear LJ friends! I hope all of you have shared very happy, peaceful, and satisfying holidays with friends and family, and I wish all of you a VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

I've never participated in memes before, but menuriko tagged me, and I am so long overdue in corresponding with her that I thought this would be a good way of beginning to catch up with ( Read more... )

Always good to hear from you! Happy New Year! *hugs*

I'd be up for midwinwrite again. I'm guessing the rules would still be pretty flexible? Such as editing would be acceptable?

Hi there! I've been catching your LJ entries periodically through the last several months; but you post way to often for me to keep up! Have been wanting to read "Joe" since you started posting it, but have yet to get to it. It's on my list to read in coming months; so one of these days you'll get some reactions on it from me.

If I follow through on Midwinwrite, the rules will be essentially the same as in 2007; so yes, editing WIPs would be an acceptable goal.

Welcome back from Hawaii, and best wishes for the upcoming semester!

Always good to hear from you, too, DG. I hope to be more responsive to my f-lists posts this year, so perhaps you'll hear more from me.

Aww, mommie, um...sorry for being so far? *big big huggles*

...also, certain striked out lines there may in fact have traumatized me! ^_-

I'm your mother. Isn't "traumatizing" you part of my job description?

Love you.

It IS as d_g says, ALWAYS wonderful to hear from you.

If you start up midwinwrite I might kick myself into finishing up things I never did last year for whatever reason.

Hopefully this year will be a better and brighter year for us all.

Much MUCH love.

Hopefully I'll find more time to chat a little on LJ this winter. Even when I don't respond, I always enjoy seeing your posts and love to hear about your busy-ness and the kids and your exploits when the in-laws come to stay with you... although I must say, I have found you just a wee bit obsessed with a certain J-pop star this past year. ^__~ I got a charge out of the fact that you managed to get your MIL to fan on him with you!

A few people have responded positively to the idea of doing Midwinwrite again, so I probably will follow through on that. 'Twould be nice to share a little writing with you again.

If you do start up midwinwrite again, I think I'd like to jump on board, too. I have a fic due at the end of March that I need to start working on.

Great! The more the merrier. I'm leaning more toward doing it the more I think about it and the more people I hear from that are interested. I'll let you know within the next week or two. I've got a couple other things I have to get out of the way before I commit to it.

Yay, you made the meme!

Your weather seems to be much worse than what we have here. It hasn't even been cold until now in January. Well, okay, in other parts of Sweden it has been quite windy, but not so much here. No storms at all, ice or snow.

Wars, terrorism, hunger, etc. Sometimes it's hard to understand how people think. Are we not all humans? How can we be so different from each other? We all have the same needs.

I don't think Obama will be able to do everything he wants to. Politics is such a dirty game. But, as you said, he is not Bush, and I believe Obama to be a good, wise man.

You like pasta and chocolate. Sounds an awful lot like one of my sons. Almost everytime he cook, he makes something with some sort of pasta. And he can't get enough of chocolate.

A midwinterwrite challenge! I like that.
