Hubby was so impressed by the results of a fairly gentle blocking (soak, lay flat on towel, pin, let dry) on my yarn test swatches from this weekend that he wants me to try the same thing with a 12" wide, 8' long scarf I knitted him a couple years ago. And a big honkin' scarf. I think this might call for blocking wires instead of pins, so that it won't be dry before I finish pinning it. I also don't know how good the results will be since it's Plymouth Encore instead of 100% wool, but it's worth trying. Just need to find enough towels that aren't the good bath towels to pin into...the scarf is longer than my bed. :)
