Cheers [Zach]

Jan 03, 2009 00:58

Amongst the many relatively random things of which Trevor had taken careful note since meeting Zachary Bosch was the fact that Zach had very little to do with coffee. From that stemmed the fact that he likely would have had far less to do with it if he hadn't, for whatever reason, started spending so much time around Trevor. Because no one spent ( Read more... )

The caffeinated molecules slamming joyfully into the sides of his brain are enough to keep Zach flailing spastically around the room, so maybe Trevor can get some practice doing gesture drawings. He likes it here, despite the particulars of the atmosphere which keep him quite literally unable to stay still.

Knuckle tucked up under his lower lip, the subject in question turns away from running the long fingers of the unoccupied hand over a row of books. "So thanks for letting me hang out, it was getting kind of lame screwing around in the subzero weather outside."

It totally is not, by the way, Zach's New Orleans blood is just far too thin for Minnesota winters.

Trevor kind of likes the constant movement. Usually the house is a little too quiet and still for the average person's sanity. Hell, sometimes it's even too much so for him, which probably doesn't help his whole avoidance of sleep thing but whatever. Shh. That would be a logical conclusion for one to draw.

He tilts his head a little and shrugs. "It's nothing." This statement is both true and also less nosey than asking why someone with such an obviously low tolerance to cold would be wandering around outside in Minnesota in the middle of winter. And being less nosey is more socially acceptable. And also less likely to result in having to answer uncomfortable questions in return. However, none of this stops him from making comments about how "It'll be colder by the time I was planning on leaving anyway so might as well be warm until then." Because Trevor actually planning to leave the house isn't a curious event at all, what?

"...huh?" If Zach were to speak for the universe at large - a thing which should never happen due to the sudden influx of a nearly fatal amount of slack - the stopping stock still in the middle of his orbiting around the planet of vicarious caffeine would indicate that indeed, this occasion is monumental in scope.

And confusion! Zach actually deigns to sit on the edge of the bed with Trevor for a second, dangling skinny boyhands between his knees. "How come? Where're you going?"

This is probably the part where most people would be getting upset with themselves for mentioning things they don't really have any intention of explaining. However, seeing as this is Trevor we're talking about, he'll take anything he lets slip right into stride. As long as Zach's not getting information by means such as, say, going through his personal files and reading death certificates or anything like that, it's all good.

"I'm going here." He turns the open sketchbook so that Zach has a better view of it and points at the jumble of sketches. Since, you know, a whole bunch of random, creepy rooms is a very specific answer. The actual drawing of the house (complete with For Sale sign in the front lawn), which he flips to a moment later, is a bit better. As for the how come-- "Because it's...interesting."

Where "interesting" very possibly translates into "interested in nomming on souls."
