I didn't mean to make everyone sad, lol. I just really wanted Luke and you guys to get a feel for the type of place his Foundation would be helping. Now of course in that case of the baby, it doesn't have any family since it was neglected, but there are several other children or teenagers there that have suffered from a severe brain injury or who have been badly burned or have had to have things amputated, whose family could really benefit from something like Luke's foundation. I just wanted you all to see what the place was like (which is why I also linked their website).

Here I am sitting in tears after reading this chapter. While I'm glad that Luke and Reid have met again, I'm left with the thoughts of that poor baby who was left in a trash can. Unfortunately, Brett is right in regards to people just leaving their baby in a waste bin. And it's just so sad. The whole chapter just made me cry. But thank you for the link to the hospital. Just by looking at it I can imagine the wonders that goes on behind those light up walls and it brings a smile to my face. Thank you!! And love the chapter update.

It really is a great place. Very sad, but the ways they're able to help kids is amazing. And I love driving past the building at night. It's beautiful.

I always can't believe stories of people that leave their babies in dumpsters. Even if they don't want their child, they obviously have chosen to carry it to term, so why not give the baby up for adoption? It makes no sense to me.

I'm sorry I made you cry!

Well, now I've spent so much time on the Ranken Jordan website (really amazing what they do) that I nearly forgot to leave a comment... but great chapter, I love Luke in do-gooding mode and of course happy the boys got to meet again so "quickly" (in terms of chapters ;))!

But I love the idea of them being apart and not communicating for a year and now running into each other. I bet the sparks will fly. Reid was happy to see him, so that's good.

Your description of the hospital gave me goosebumps. It has me wondering if Reid is one of the few docs visiting or if he now lives there.

What's been going on with them for a year? Will we find out?

You'll get all of the answers to your questions! And Reid does live there. Ranken Jordan is in St. Louis and remember? That's where Reid was moving to. His new wing was being built at St. Louis Children's Hospital. He just also helps out at Ranken Jordan as a specialist.

I hope that Luke and Reid are happy - but I'm betting that they're a bit lonely.

I'm praying hoping that Luke has stuck by his "I love Reid, so I can't get with anyone else" thing that he had going on before, because I love that he's so devoted to Reid even when they aren't together
