I've been mulling this over for the better part of a week now. It is time for me to speak out. There is something wrong with American values today. I don't think there's anything wrong with choosing not to work after you have kids. I think people fought for women's rights 50 years or so ago so that women were able to have a choice. You're choosing to stay home, the lovely part about it is that you get to choose. It would suck just as much to *have* to work as it would to *have* to stay home. So do what makes you happy and who gives a damn what other people think. :)

See, it's like a lot of women think they didn't do all that to have the choice, but so they could work. I think that's what I'm feeling, but since I've started talked about it I've found more than my fair share of supporters (down to the psychatrist Travis sees). :) I guess no matter what we choose in life we feel the need to defend that choice as what's right. So maybe my professor was just defending her choice to have the high powered job that I personally never wanted.
