Albany day two

 I had a much, much better day of Scrabble yesterday.  4-3, but the three losses were all no-hopers, and the wins included three comebacks.  Opened with Winter-- he bagged me, but he was due for it, I guess.  I took a slim lead against Larry Sherman midgame, then turned the game into a Nigerian blockfest.  Bingoed out on Karl Higby with iNCLOSE(D ( Read more... )

albany really has nothing over dayton except for the fact that i can get there in three hours. i came despite the location.

also, this recap is really funny.

Both Albany and Dayton seem like contenders for the most generic American city, but the area around the hotel in Albany was really a dead zone compared even to Dayton. I'm glad you guys decided to come; sorry you had a rough tournament.
