Hannah was having tea on the front porch, wrapped in a blanket. Grendel was sitting curled up at her feet. Hannah looked out at the evening sky and sighed. She had a beautiful view from her front porch and loved looking out and watching things. She had just taken a shower after finishing up the last of her work for the day and was enjoying her Earl Grey in the rocking chair, when she saw a dark silhouette coming towards her on the road.
"Hey," she shouted, happily. "Who's there?"
She wasn't expecting visitors. Perhaps Ernie had invited someone over and hadn't told her? She couldn't be sure.
