The day was slipping slowly into late afternoon and as Mandy entered River Place, she found herself wondering where all her time had gone. She had been working with Blaise at Antiquity for only a few hours, sorting out some paperwork, and now the wind outside already had a chill to it.
With a shrug of her shoulders, Mandy slipped out of her cloak and shrunk it to fit in her bag as she begun to climb the stairs. The interior of the building had heating charms placed on it and the clothes she was wearing underneath more than sufficed. When she had reached the second floor, Mandy found herself wondering if Roger was home as she had had ideas running through her head all day and she didn’t trust Blaise enough to talk to him about them. Besides, she didn’t think he would be very impressed that her mind had been elsewhere while she was at work, even if she had got all the tasks done perfectly.
She knocked on the door to 2A several times in quick succession before she took a step back. I’ll have to drop by Zach’s around dinner time, make sure he’s managing to feed himself without someone there to help, Mandy mused as she waited to see if Roger would answer the door. She knew it was always possible to talk to him another time if he wasn’t around. It’s just that… Mandy was surprised when she realised she would be disappointed to not get the chance to speak with Roger.
