Pinking an outfit to wear on a date with Blaise Zabini was even harder than picking something to wear when having dinner with Ron Weasley. It invariably involved far more planning, starting with underwear and working outwards. Even though Blaise had been forced to postpone their dinner on Friday because of a clash with the council meeting, he'd since sent her an owl to arrange when they would be doing - offered the choice of dinner at Roma or a picnic, Lavender had chosen the picnic: as nice as the food was at Roma, Lavender had the feeling that she might feel a bit odd there after her date with Ron.
She dressed as warmly as she dared, trying to get a balance between sexy and practical. Slipping on her lion earrings, Lavender was checking her reflection for the umpteenth time when she heard a knock at the door. Feeling a little nervous, Lavender went to open the door, looking forward to having a good night.
