Hannah set out to Wayne's flat to pay him a visit. She'd been thinking about him a lot lately and hadn't seen him in a while. She'd finished all her chores around the house and taken Grendel for a walk twice that day and was still restless, so she decided to see if Wayne was home.
Hannah hopped on her bike and headed down to River Place. She made it in about a half an hour because it was mostly downhill. It felt good to get out and get some exercise. She really enjoyed being out and about and was looking forward to seeing Wayne. She parked the bicycle next to the apartment building and placed the appropriate anti-theft charms on it, as well as pulled the seat out the top of the bike and brought it in with her. She took the bottle of wine from the basket, as well as the Snickerdoodles she'd made a few nights before, and headed inside the building. Once inside, she stopped.
She'd forgotten which apartment Wayne lived in. She knew he'd said the third floor, but couldn't remember which apartment it was. She walked up the two flights of stairs and looked back and forth at the two flats. She had a fifty-fifty chance of being right.
Hannah stuck out her left hand, as the right was holding the bike seat, wine, and cookies, and rapped on the door of 3B. She hoped that was the right one.
