I hope that this owl finds you well, Sir. It might surprise you to hear from me, but I hope that it's, at least, a pleasant one.
I was recently in London doing research for my bookstore (by viewing Muggle locations and comparing them and such) when I came across something that I thought you might enjoy. Since everyone deserves a surprise gift at Christmas, I hope you won't find me impertinent for indulging my whim and buying it for you.
As you can see, it's a text on Muggle forensic science, which is rather a fascinating subject to those who enjoy procedure. From what I can tell, this is a book actually used in the classroom at Uni, so it's quite informative. I thought you might find it an interesting read, as well as possibly learning of some techniques that could be adapted with magic into being useful in our world. If nothing else, it might occupy a few hours on a quiet evening. I made the bookmark myself. You might also find it interesting.
