Summary: Parvati's first day back from the holidays

Parvati woke up from a dreamless sleep, looking around her familiar and sorely missed flat.
It's good to be home, she thought.
She'd been gone for nearly two weeks, managing to completely avoid the holidays and all their inherent stress and mixed emotions, not to mention her parents's thinly veiled concern (and disapproval.)
Her meetings with Madam Mitra had been very rewarding. Parvati had learned so much in such a short time, some of which she would be able to put into practice as soon as she got into work today.
She felt optimistic, and decided to sort through the small stack of letters and packages that had arrived in her absence.
Presents from various family members, of course, and oddly enough, a package from Hermione Granger. The enclosed note said:
Merry Christmas. I hope you have a lovely 2005.
Sincerely,
Hermione
Enclosed: A holiday card and a tin with a mixed assortment of homemade biscuits (Oatmeal, chocolate chip, peanut butter, and shortbread.
Parvati smiled. Time to do a little correspondence before work.
She got out a quill and parchment, and stroked Scheherezade's black feathers as she wrote:
Dear Hermione,
Thank you for the thoughtful Christmas gifts. I have only just returned home from a visit to India, where I met the Healer I spoke of during our lunch. I am enclosing a few yards of sari fabric I picked up while I was there. If I remember correctly, you look very pretty in blue. I'm sure you can have it made up into something that will suit you. Perhaps it's a little fancy for Stoatshead as it is now, but things are bound to change, and in the meantime, you could use it around the house.
