They say that libraries are thought in cold storage

Jan 19, 2007 19:46

Date: 19th January 2005
Characters: Blaise, Hermione, Tracey, Violet
Location: Hermione’s shop, then Tracey’s uncle’s house in Nice, France
Status: Private
Summary: Blaise and Hermione take a trip to France for another of those fixes
Completion: complete

Blaise stood a few yards back from the point where he knew Hermione’s wards would trigger. It was ten to nine. When he had checked with Tracey the day before, she had said that all being well she hoped to be at her uncle’s estate by nine. All being well meaning that Violet co-operated.

He’d packed a small over night case, a picnic basket for that evening, two shrunken chests to hold any books he wished to bring back immediately, and the board game that he’d seen in the Muggle book shop. Blaise thought Scrabble was an odd name for a word game. Perhaps it derived from the meaning ‘to struggle to get something’ that the word held. However it looked intriguing enough. Challenging - which was always good in Blaise’s opinion. He just hoped Hermione approved of his plans. He thought the library would be a definite hit at least. He was certainly looking foreword to it.

It felt good to be heading back to France again. It had been a good few years since Blaise had last visited Nice. He thought that Saturday after lunch with Tracey and Violet he might go and take a closer look at what remained of the Nice library. Of course that was if he and Hermione didn’t find time that evening.
