RP: Poetry in London

Roger got home from Victoria'a bakery with a half an hour to spare before Hermione was due to drop by. They'd made plans to do something, but he didn't know what, only that he was to wear casual clothes and be ready at six thirty. He was curious what she had in mind, but the few times he'd surprised Hermione she'd not pressed, so neither would he.
He'd had rather a hectic day, as he'd had to shuffle a few things around to fit in time to stop by the bakery and replace window fixtures. The rest of the day had been spent at Vincent Crabbe's house, where he was nearly finished with the potions lab that Crabbe had requested he fix up first. It was easy to fill his days up with work anymore. He'd definitely hire on a couple more employees, but he knew himself well enough to know that he'd not really decrease his workload much. It would be nice to have the option to do so, all the same, so that he could make time for himself-- and time with Hermione.
He was still sort of processing the fact that Hermione had chosen to date him exclusively. And while it was still only dating, still only seeing how it went and nothing serious, it was still a big step. For both of them. If Roger had been told by anyone six months ago that he'd be dating anyone now, there were all manner of reasons he'd have told them it was impossible. Those reasons were mostly still there; he had a distant sort of consciousness of them, always in the back of his mind.
But right now, when he was showering and dressing and about to see Hermione, spend the evening with her, he could focus on that, the inarguable feelings that went along with that, and it was enough. He pulled on a jumper and slipped into his shoes, then went into the sitting room for his jacket. It was unlikely, of course, that she'd be late, so he wanted to be ready for her.
