RP: Ducking Out

Summary: Roger and Hermione duck out of Slughorn's party early.

As far as parties went, this one hadn't been bad -- of course, they'd not stayed terribly long.But it wasn't very crowded or loud, and they'd seen a few people they knew. And, it was the first one he'd actually taken her to. In a date capacity. Though, Hermione had got the invite, so perhaps she'd taken him, but it hardly mattered. He intended to take her to more in the future. Parties were much more bearable in her company. Especially, he thought as he stole another glance, when she wore dresses like that. He smiled as they made their way down the sidewalk in front of Slughorn's house. Once they reached the street, he stopped and looked around, taking her by the waist for a kiss.
"So," he said against her mouth. "Good party." He took her hand as he pulled back, and just took the time to look at her. "That's ... some dress, Hermione," he said frankly as he laced his fingers through hers and they started to walk leisurely.
"You want to get some food? I'd rather not attempt it myself tonight, lest I burn it again. We could go to Socks." He glanced at her. "Get takeaway."
