Summary: After a visit to the shelter, Roger and Hermione go to his place to check on Zuzu. Things come up.

It had been sort of a lazy day. Somewhat rainy, with a bit of sun. Roger had been up early to get some laundry done before seeing Hermione. He'd actually walked all the way over to the Trio's shop, laundry sack in hand, to use the machine when he remembered the electricity was out and he couldn't use it. Hermione had been up, of course, doing chores, and he'd ended up accompanying her to the grocery.He'd needed some items for his puppy, Zuzu -- though he'd gotten her on Wednesday while out with Hermione, he'd been too busy to go out and purchase the little things she needed. He'd been borrowing food from Harry for the latter part of the week.
Roger hadn't planned on getting a dog, really. But when he'd looked down to find the little blue-eyed Siberian husky puppy tugging at his trouser leg, he'd not been able to leave the shelter without her. And he had time now, to train her and spend with her since bringing on a few new employees. Though, to be honest, he'd been a little lazy about training her the past few days. He knew he'd need to paper train her, so he could keep her in the house, but it had been easy just to keep her magically penned up in his yard when he was out.
Which was what he'd done today, as he and Hermione had made quite a few stops after breakfast and shopping, which had included another stop at the shelter, to meet Blaise and Terry who were there looking for a cat. After that was done, they'd decided to walk back to his place. He smiled and squeezed Hermione's hand as they approached his house.
"Thought we'd go back to the yard and check on Zuzu," he said, tugging her closer and stopping for a kiss. "I've left her fenced in while we've been out."
