RP: Kidnapped

Summary: Roger kidnaps Hermione from the shop -gasp- before it closes. Eleanor helps him pull it off.

Roger wasn't much for plotting and complicated schemes. But as he paced the kitchen of Bookworm, looking over his shoulder every few seconds, he figured this one was just simple enough to work.
He'd enlisted the help of Eleanor, as he couldn't have pulled it off on his own. After all, someone needed to keep Hermione busy and distracted while Roger came into the shop, arms laden with food from Socks, biscuits from the Bread Basket, and fudge from Just Desserts, so that he could sneak back into the kitchen undetected and wait for her. He'd sized up Eleanor before he'd asked, of course. He needed someone who seemed competent enough to pull off a casual, 'why no, Roger's not hiding in the kitchen' sort of look -- one that would actually convince Hermione, that is. Eleanor had looked up to it, which was no small thing.
He figured a person would have to wake up pretty early in the morning to fool Hermione. Actually, it was probably best just to stay up all night.
As he paced, he strained his ears to try to hear what was going on in the shop. In addition to sneaking him into the shop, Eleanor had said she'd come up with a plausible, if ridiculous, request for something from the kitchen. It was then that Roger planned to pounce. Not the most elaborate of schemes, to be sure. But she could probably smell elaborate from a mile away.
This would be good, he thought, because at the heart of it, it would just be a nice evening out. A bit of lightness to help counteract their more stressful meetings of earlier this week. Not only that, but he wanted to see her and spend more time with her. To not have to worry and just be.
So that was at the front of his mind while he waited for Hermione to swing through the door. He flattened himself against the wall beside it and listened for her steps to get closer.
