Things had been going well for the last week and a half. A little too well, Eleanor worried. Which was probably silly, but after the few weeks before, were everything had seemed to go completely wrong, it just felt a bit odd that things were falling back into place.
She was back at home, and Ernie had moved in, officially. Not much had really changed in that regard. Aside from the fact that his comics and his couch now resided at the house. Still, it was official, which was much better than unofficial any day. There was really a lot to be said for waking up next to the person you loved every morning, and knowing they weren't going anywhere, ever.
She still missed Mercury terribly, but that was starting to get better. She'd even met Fleur Delacour, who had offered to let her adopt one of her baby owls. Eleanor had liked Fleur quite a lot.
The plans for the shop were going as well as could be expected, she figured. She had a shop now, and she had met with Dean to see about renovations. She was excited to see what he came up with, and she was looking forward to giving him cooking lessons, as well. Even if Dean insisted that he was hopeless in the kitchen.
She'd made a few more batches of soap, including two she'd completed that morning before Mr. Dearborn was to arrive to charm the cabinets. One had been scented with a light floral blend, and the other with a citrus mint combination that Eleanor thought would be very nice for summer. Not all of her scent experiments worked out as she'd have liked, but she thought that just made the ones that did all that much better.
When twelve-thirty rolled around, Eleanor put her soap making supplies away and began to straighten up the house before Mr. Dearborn's arrival. The charms on the cabinets were the last thing that needed to be completed on her workrooms. One more thing she'd be able to cross off her list.
