Getting ready for work this morning, Ron thought about how the weather in Stoatshead Hill had reflected his own mood recently. The rain of recent weeks seemed to be letting up; the day was foggy and humid, but at least it wasn't raining. On the other hand he could barely see his hand in front of his face, so instead of walking from River Place to Vanateigh Press, which he might have done in better weather, Ron Apparated to work. Going to the kitchen, he found Hermione having a cup of coffee. He assumed she'd been at work for some time, as she usually came to Bookworm quite early (he had to trust her on this, as he never came before half-past eight).
"Morning," he said, squeezing her shoulder. "Think I'll have some coffee before I start work." They'd not really caught up since he made lunch for her at his flat, and this seemed like a good opportunity. "So what's up with you?"
