Molly was slightly concerned. She'd invited Ron and Lavender to lunch yesterday and everything had been absolutely lovely up until after dinner when Ron had helped clear the table and cornered her in the kitchen. It seemed that there was something he wanted to talk to her about, without Lavender around.
He wouldn't say what, though, and that was what worried her. Something hadn't gone wrong, had it? It didn't seem like they were having any trouble at home and they had even brought their new dog, Trevor, with them to lunch.
Wishing that she could ask Ron directly, Molly realised that she couldn't. Not there at the Burrow, anway. Ron was hiding something, she was sure - there was something of Arthur in the way he had looked at her, a look that Molly had seen many times in her marriage. It was that look which made Molly give in, agreeing that she would meet him for lunch at the Five Alarm today so that they could talk properly. She'd then proceeded to serve up dessert and try not to worry too much for the rest of the day, a feat which was easier said than done for Molly Weasley.
As soon as Molly saw Ron walk through the door, she pulled off her apron, informing Rosmerta that she was going on her lunch break.
