“I Agree With Me” was hard to follow and took some thought to understand. P.J. O’Rourke’s references to pundits were foreign, and his colloquialisms were unfamiliar. Just to get it out there: I love your title.
I agree with you in saying that I will be more conscious of what I listen to, and taking a more objective point of view. And your last sentence is something that I don't think O'Rourke believes, instead I believe his goals are to convince everyone to agree with him.
To answer your question: I listen to those I respect, but I do so with caution. Just because I agree with one thing someone says does not mean I will agree with everything they say. As for a fresh perspective, simply listening to everyone can allow for a well rounded, but perhaps not fresh, perspective.

to answer your quetion:
I some times listen to the dori monson show
( i think it's 71.3 fm it's about amercian politics)
but i don't listen to him because i agree with hime rather I disaree with almost everything he says. for sure it's a fresh perspective.
