Your suggestion on questioning how outsourcing can happen best is very insightful. It has been proven that outsourcing is inevitable; so long as there is a cheaper way to do things, companies will strive to reduce costs and increase profits.
To answer your question, I believe that with the recent economic downturn, the bi-products of outsourcing have become much more apparent.
As a Canadian, I dislike the idea of my fellow Canadians losing work to foreign labourers. Furthermore, I dislike that these foreign workers are being paid poorly, often experiencing poor working conditions.
As a consumer, I will not lie: outsourcing keeps my purchases cheaper than they would be if the goods were solely manufactured in Canada.
