You know, I hadn't even heard about him before today (*hiding in shame*) but he sounds really clever and funny. I should go find YouTube videos or something.

Well, he is considered counter-culture and so his humour wasn't always promoted in the mainstream media. However, HBO seemed to help him out a lot in the last 20 years. :)

On the flip side, he was also the voice-over for the American version of Thomas The Tank Engine, which I find highly amusing. :)

I remember one of the very first albums I ever bought was his FM/AM comedy album - I knew it all by heart. He was very funny, and an interesting guy too and quite philosophical.
