Already it feels like it has been an eternity since I died. The reality is that it's been merely ten or so days. Already I see people moving on and forgetting. Or perhaps it is only that they are ignoring. Either way, for this... I am glad. It makes what I have to do that much easier. My only hope is that my foolish little brother will give up on any dreams for revenge. Despite deliberately losing that battle to Gin, I can honestly say the man is a formidable opponent, and as Sasuke is now, and will be for some time yet to come, he is incapable of opposing Gin with chance of success.
Leading the other life under the alias Yoshida Taki has become... interesting. I have many uses for the alias, and the job connections are desirable. It is, however, a tedious task to run through past events and make true the past of which I am creating for this persona, but it must be done. I can't risk sparking an interest and having no back story to cover my tracks. That would peel away all the effort I've put into recent events... all of the effort the Akatsuki has put forth as a whole.
And of the Akatsuki, I've spoken little to them since... that day. And of that day... I find myself, in the spare time that I have, watching the video recording of the funeral again, and again, and again... It was the last time I had the opportunity of seeing my otouto, of knowing how he is. Of seeing many people, it was the last time.
Although I have seen Kurenai since then, and I do plan to see her in the future as well, should all things go according to plan, or along similar lines. I cannot help but think that it is an unwise choice on my behalf, but... she has been plaguing much of my thoughts recently. Of what else there is to do I know not.
Once I might have known, but so much has changed since that time.
Now... I bear scars that will not allow me to forget. She has become a part of who I am, who I used to be and who I have yet to become.

Do any of you have news in regards to the activity of either Gin or Aizen? Furthermore, any news on activity within the confines of the city would be appreciated as well. I am collecting information, putting together some puzzles. Or trying, rather. Should anything of even remote interest attract your attention, I request that you report it to me immediately. Even snippets of rumor will be helpful at this point. The more eyes and ears out there, the better, after all.
