[ Currently she is occupied in the boarding-house, but the least she can do is answer the message and write a quick note before closing her NV again. ]

I'm glad. I'll be there in ten.
[ Text is unusual for him but it gives him a chance to regroup his thoughts. By the time he arrives he's slightly kicking himself for panicking. He knocks on the front door as he opens it, sticking his head around when there's enough space and calling up. ] I'm here!
[ At that point she has not the time to check her NV as she rushes to find those in the house she does know, and check for signs of life in those she does not know personally. It is the least she can do in her slightly panicked state when the crashing of furniture in the nearby rooms brings all sorts of terrible scenarios to mind. Her stops along the way to the ground floor are few, and it only takes the clicking of the door swinging open to shock her back into defence mode, holding tightly onto the stairway banister for support should the building start to shake again. Claire's voice quells the momentary panic almost immediately, of course, but it takes more than a few seconds for her pulse and tension to fade, gazing down at him from the middle of the stairway with a faintly terrified expression. ]

Chane! I just saw this movie with this leadin' lady in it that reminded me of you a whole lot! She was this real classy type. Not upstage at all, though. She had this dress that'd really suit you and she ends up poisonin' some guy. But it was to protect someone so - I didn't mean anythin' by that bit! And although I'm comparin' her to you she didn't really compare to you, if you know what I'm sayin'. [ There's a brief pause but then he's back on track. ] So I thought maybe we could go see it? I wouldn't mind seein' it again. But if there's somethin' else catches your fancy we can see that instead. If you want!
[ Such poetry for the pale glow that's gently lighting up her windowsill behind her curtains, and helping her find her NV more quickly in the haze of waking up. She answers the call a few seconds before she actually responds, the channel left open for her words as she pushes herself to sitting up in bed. There's only one person who would call this early...
She really shouldn't be surprised at the times he calls her anymore. ]
Morning, Chane! It snowed! [ Claire is already dressed and in full awake mode - not just awake but bouncy, in fact. He swallows whatever it is that's set him off, dialling down his grin from idiotic to apologetic; he is aware of how early it is... ] -- Did I wake you up?
[ Something else to add to her reading list? On her part there's a good ten, twenty seconds between each reply; enough to allow for her pulling the covers back, peeping through the curtains, finding some energy to stand stably on her feet. Claire's voice serves as a natural prompt for her to get up and get ready. Force of habit. ]
Yes.
[ ... It's a slightly ambiguous answer. But it can wait until after she's put on a few more layers to be cleared up. ]

Alright, it wasn’t even that bad and I'm not livin' in some tragic love story but. Call me when you get this.
You know what, I’m comin’ over, I can at least check your roof.
[ Caring about her is one thing, he's not used to worrying. ]
