Remus is silent for a long moment and feels the exact second come and pass when he could have offered an explanation.
Very acute.

Snape shoots him one of his imperceptible looks, piercing eyes under furrowed brows
Very evocating.

I love that Remus lies about this, it's just... so quirky and make total sense ♥

And the room does crush him. The heat raging through his chest and across his face can be explained by the walls closing in. The wetness on his cheek is sweat, and the words Severus says are too far away to hear.So heartbreaking. You build up the atmosphere powerfully ( ... )

Thank-you very much. I am so glad you enjoyed it. It took me a while to think of the sorts of things Remus would and wouldn't lie about.

(And thanks for pointing out the typos! I knew I would have some. I am still feeling a bit clumsy behind the keyboard and I just glanced over by way of proofreading.)
