Summary: It is a full moon night, in the early days of March, and a Birthday cake is as good a reason as any to be introspective. Remus may not celebrate his birthdays but the wolf has an anniversary with a built in ritual, and that is enough to be going on with.

Thank-you! Yes, my heart aches for him as well. When I started this, six years ago, it was the first time I really deeply considered Remus' character; I was always much more of a Severus enthusiast. I am glad you found something to love in Remus' character, despite all the pain in his story here, because, in writing this story, I really discovered some love for the core of his character.
