[There is no video in this post. Fauchelevent has finally managed to get his Dreamberry working, barely, and while he'd prefer to keep himself invisible, if he's going to remain in Somarium there is something he must know.]

At what time does mass congregate on Sundays?

omg church time, voice post

I don't think anyone does that here.

You must be mistaken. I have seen the church with my own eyes.

Here, it's just a place for people to live.

The church is used as a place of residence?!

[Javert recoiled from his DreamBerry communication device as if it were a smoldering hot lump of coal.

That was a voice Javert could recognize from a kilometer away. And asking about church! Unbelievable! The Inspector had not discovered a speck of religiosity among these people. Nothing so respectable, in any case. Javert, himself, was not a religious man, but he was accustomed to the best of society keeping to a diligent church schedule.

But to hear Valjean adhere to a maddening sense of morality was... annoying. Him, an ex-convict--

It suited the persona Javert discovered in Valjean that murky June night.

The Inspector set the device aside and resolved to think no more of it. What Valjean did was Valjean's own bloody business.

And yet his eyes kept straying to the device, his frown ever-deepening. Perhaps Valjean could feel the familiar (but unwanted) hawkish gaze on the back of his skull...]

[...Even if Javert is silent, the ex-convict can easily read the name flashing upon the screen of his Dreamberry: Javert. Even after their previous conversation, Fauchelevent is still put at unease just by the Inspector's name alone. Yet after so many years of running, who could fault him for that?

The man is silent, staring back at the Dreamberry in the same manner.]

[Many long moments passed as such, with Valjean staring at the device silently, and Javert casting the occasional glance askance at Valjean's alias (Fauchelevent... he was already familiar with that name. Valjean had informed him of that false label.) on the screen.

Eventually, Javert utters a frustrated, low snort, his teeth and gums bared in a grimace.

He scoops the DreamBerry up into his palm, flicks it off and drops it into the depths of his pocket.]

That is the end of it.

[For now.]

Unfortunately, I don't believe it does here.

[Ah, a familiar face.]

Are you certain? I've seen the church in the village.

[Yep. He knows the church alright. After all, he lives right across from it.]

I am. While the church houses some residents, there is no sign that any religious services still occur there.

There is no church that worships the son of God in this realm.

stole_bread November 9 2009, 02:14:25 UTC
Is there then a church that worships God Himself?

I'm afraid not, my son. Though if you are in need of prayer, I can lead you.

...I'm not a priest, mind you. I am a retired Reaper.
