This was beautiful, sad, and fascinating. I loved it.

This part especially:

Every decision he tries to undo, every loved one he pulls the trigger on he does for her, and if she were a little less selfish she'd find a way to end this for him. Find a way to pull the trigger and make him hate her, to finally take away the only reason he has left.

It's such a new, interesting, believable reason for Claire to pull the trigger on Peter.

Seriously -- great. Enjoyed reading it a lot. :)

Thank you so much! In my world I just couldn't think of a good enough reason for Claire to suddenly be willing to kill Peter..unless she was doing it for him. Lol..that was kinda my intention but I'm sorry I broke your heart just the same. And I don't know what it is about this song but I'm obsessed with it lately, especially the acoustic version. It just screams Paire to me. Anyway, thank you SO much for commenting, I'm beyond glad that you enjoyed this.
