Long live long weekends

Every weekend should be a 3 day weekend. It gives you enough time to take care of both errands and fun.

Friday, there was yummy dinner stuff at Tamarind Tree.

Saturday there was a bike ride around Madrona and more homemade bread bakin' and then some some grillin' and chillin'.

I keep wanting to try other dishes, but i keep coming back to the coconut curry shrimp dish. OMG so good.

My second loaf turned out beautifully! And Jason ate it all in about two days. :| By the way, I think you mentioned making little rolls. Did you say you just put them on a baking sheet? Or do you have a special vessel for that?

Excellent news! That stuff does not last long. Breakfast? Toast with jam. Lunch? Bread with cheese. Having soup? Dip some bread. I'm afraid of my carb intake these days.

The rolls i ended up cooking on a pizza stone (kinda like this: http://www.surlatable.com/gs/round-pizza-stone-with-handles-pizza-and-pasta-specialty-tools-kitchen-and-bar-tools-1.shtml)

The round loaf is preferable though - probably b/c of the heat in the dutch oven. Next time i might try baking the rolls in that. Not that they were bad on the stone, just better in the dutch oven.
