Someone came back from a trip to the Germany office equipped with chocolates. German chocolate is heavy on the hazelnuts. I heartily approve.

Just the other day, Julian and I were talking about hazelnuts, and how they're considered novel or gormet here in the States, but in Central Europe they are the main stay of sweets. It's interesting that despite the tireless trod of gobalization, the subtleties often remain.

Oh yes. I remember having hersheys for the first time and thinking there was something wrong with it. I also remember when Nutella made it to the states finally and it was such a novel thing.

I've always loved chocolate with hazelnuts. Wonderful combination. It's a pity it isn't common here in the US.

Yeah, i stockpile those ritter bars with dark chocolate and hazelnuts whenever i hit trader joes. Mmmm...
