I ran the 10k this morning and didn't die! Total time was ~ 1:14 but the official times should be posted in a few days. It was really sunny and I'm sure i looked like a hot sweaty mess, but i didn't care. And my hoosbondo was there at the finish line cheering me on. When the announcer said "and John Curley just crosses the finish line!" my immediate thought was "fuck yeah!"

Surprisingly, he didn't curse when handing out awards, but he did tell a Morman lady with five kids that they'd get her husband a vasectomy.

Oh, i don't think i'll ever do a marathon. We're training to do the half marathon in November and that is already freaking me out.
