In less than ten days, I will turn 28, giving me just two years left in my twenties. Many of you know that I have a tendency to feel old - especially since many of you are younger than me. I have found, however, that I am not old at all. I'm not even 30, and apparantly sometime while I (and many of you) were in our 20s, 30 became the new 20 ( Read more... )

As I recently posted, I'm 28 and a half and still a drifting bachelor. But browsing match.com and the like shows how there are tons of people in our age group and even older who are just as single. My mom got got married and had me at 24, but my dad was 35 (and sometimes, I feel like I'm following his loner footsteps...).

I'd offer to organize your life if I didn't have to move and/or show organizational skills of my own first.

Doug my darling friend, you are perfect just the way you are. We are in the majority at this time, unmarried, 20 somethings with careers. 28 is still a baby, 30 IS the new 20 and think about how wise we will be when we turn 40. We've had some wonderful times in our lives, 2 AM pool games anyone? Sorry to hear things are dull and I wish you lots of strength in your revamping of life. I made some resolutions myself this year. I'll keep you in check if you remind me to get off my butt and face some fears.

I can lend you Bethany, my imaginary personal assistant. She's responsible for the checkbook, the laundry, the address book... basically anything I don't want to do. The cat used to be in charge but her interests run more toward sleeping and tuna.

I totally understand how you have been feeling, I always wanted a family more than I wanted to be a career girl, and since the universe has a great sense of humor crazy cat lady living alone is looking more like my future all the time. But, since 30 is the new 20, I have 15 more years until the big 30! :)
