more employer gripes

Most employers are getting better at understanding the massage industry/business.  It is after all a business.  But this type of business has different nuances compared to say car washing business.  Here are some more gripes I see from employers/companies that do on call massage ( Read more... )

I have worked for many companies that don't pay on time. It's absolutely frustrating that I have to constantly call them up and get an update on the information as to when I am going to get paid. What further upsets me is that small talk during the time I am trying to get an answer of my pay. For instance, people telling me that there are future jobs available, or that I need to fill out a 1099 soon, ect. The longer I am in this field for massage, the more I realize that it isn't the wisest choice to be on every massage employer's on call list. Some are just not worth it.
