A thought...

I have recently become overwrought with the amount of interesting subjects in my life. So to remedy this I have decided that, instead of cutting down on the number of subjects I investigate, I'm going to broaden my inquires in the hopes of one day stumbling upon a time machine.

thoughts, quotes

Well sometimes we follow an interest until it no longer feels shiny, then we move on to something else that may suddenly feel has a greater amount of shininess. Those subjects left behind may find themselves polished someday, drawing our attention back to them...

And following more than one shiny to any significant degree at a time really depends on its brightness compared to the depth of the blackhole in your wallet - the sucker awayer of light and shininess.

I set up my life in such a way that after an initial investment of capital (already taken care of) there exists a number of renewable sources of interests in my life.

But I failed in creating too many of these renewable sources of interest.

I have hacked system: ps2, xbox, psp and ds.
Plus my home computer with a new video game card.
And a laptop with near constant internet access.

I got too many podcasts to listen to, games to play, articles to read, and tv shows to watch.

Thus there is no black hole of a wallet, just the relative brightness of the shinnies themselves that is my trouble.

Sometimes having too much can be a real issue. I remember the days when my chief source of entertainment were Nintendo and Sega games, not that they came out slowly but they certainly weren't pumped out in the quantity we see nowadays. I think I had a much greater sense of accomplishment with besting those games... was it cuz they were fewer or cuz I had more time :P

If you hope to find a time machine...
...how do you know you already haven't?
