I think that it would be good to set the record straight that not every polygamous relationship is open, and therefore they should only be categorized together because they are atypical.

There was a reason I listed both open and poly relationships on there seperatly.
A relationship can be closed mono, open mono, closed poly, or open poly.
Plus many other definitions beyond those.
I think the key issue here is that more than two people are involved in three of those relationships, and this group I would call the non-typical relationships.
These three or more relationship are more complex than the standard two person relationship, with a greated need for information exchange amoung those involved.

A website that helps define rules and boundarys would be helpful to all of these people.
The added feature of talking about other people outside of the relationship will help open relationships, without hindering the use of the site for closed poly relationships.

Thank you for your consideration.

Why the interest? Are you in one of these atypical relationships yourself?

/me has been in a open relationship for 8/3.5 years, depending on when you start counting.

Me and my Kitten have rules, and have had a good enough time living by them, but there has been the occasional slip up along the lines of: "Oh, what... you mean he wasn't on my allowed to screw list... but I can blow him... hmmm maybe I should write this down..."

So this site is something that I would definatly fine usefull... but I want to know if others would want to use it...

You could also use a free wiki farm. I've been partial to PBWiki for freeness (little-f) and simplicity.

<-- Needs a project to work on to practice his Ruby-on-Rails skills.
Plus while wiki's are good, but a custom built site is easily expandable to the growing and developing needs of the product.

I'm pretty sure there are lj communities along those lines, not sure if they're as specific about it as you may want.

No, this is a serious site, unlike the Drama one.
