American society as a whole lives too cush of a lifestyle, we have too much and we take it for granted. I didn't mean to imply that because a society is relatively rich they shouldn't focus on local problems just that they should focus on *real* problems. I was basically saying that people have too much time on their hands to make up problems that aren't really, while ignoring larger harder to solve issues. And the whole issue is definitely pointless at best.

PS. the rickshaws i was referring too are like the ones used in asia that are pulled by a person sans bike.

It evolved as a mode of transportation for the elite in centurys past, they still exist no shit
