Woo for Canada... I think they got that about right. It's different depending on where in Canada you are, but right where I am a gram by itself costs about $10. Most dealers are nice (if it's your personal dealer and not just some guy on the street corner) and will give you a lil' bit more; most people I know these days are buying a bit more than a gram too so you usually get more. :P

We all need to move to BC -- specifically during the harvest season. It can get insanely cheap out there during that time... and you can try to make friends with people who grow/harvest/whatever and help them out. I have a friend who went to the BC coast for one summer and busted his ass helping to keep a crop watered -- hard work but good rewards, heh.
