Marching band didn't sound half bad today, I'm excited for this year, no matter what.
I'm not going to let things bother me. For a change, I'm going to do what I think is right for MEI took the solo in Mvt. 2 and transposed it, and I now have it memorized. I'm probably going to play the shit out of it untill I have it nice and perfected.

1. Not everything in the world needs to be transposed for you.
2. If I were an underclassmen who had previously wanted to try out for the solo, right now I would be like omgz he's such as ass and he's probably going to get it.
3. We all know you can play anything, but you really don't need to rub it in.
And I am saying this from a friendly standpoint; I mean no hostility. I just wanted to let you know how you sound.

So you're saying that because I'ved worked hard to sound good, means I SHOULDN'T get it? Hmm. For some reason, that sounds like really funky logic to me.
I'm not rubbing anything in. I have not told anyone "You'd better not try out or else." Its an open audition. I encourage everyone to do it. But I'm not going to rid myself of my own oportunities for other people on a whim. I have just as much right to try out as anyone else does.
I'm not "probably going to get it." Everyone has an equal chance. Everyone had the same opportunity to take initiative and practice like I did. I worked everyday to get a good tone. They chose not to, and that isn't my problem.

Maybe you just come off a little overconfident. It's just the way you word things. But, in all honesty, I know you have a right to be confident.
I apologize for being a jerkface. You would deserve that solo. I just...I don't know... Disregard this entire post commenty thing.
