Looks like you're stuck with me. I've fought these guys before.

Allow me to put down some facts first. These creatures are drawn to us and thus can be lured by us. They travel in packs. They do not have human intelligence and they are slow. Am I correct?

I got the theory already on account of the fact that I'm fighting 'em. Just lay down your ideas.

I have already relayed orders to all combabtive Adventurers to aid in fortifying defenses and protecting the population; they're under orders to follow your instructions should the need arise, sir.

Thank you, Captain. I trust that you'll be able to hold your own out here. Are your non-combative Adventurers assisting in coordinating evacuation from below?

Huo is right, Captain. They're not very fast. Nor... wise. I outran one at a light jog and it made to close the distance 'cross a pitfall.

Not to say I won't give the task its due diligence, but know that in spite of their numbers our enemy is not a capable one.

Don't underestimate 'em,Reed. Mindless creatures can be very overwhelming if they're in a mass. You have seen an army, haven't you?

I have! I think. And I know full well it makes them no less a threat. Only that these faults may be of use to us in keeping them at bay.

I will soon join you at the barricade, once I've gathered provisions in ample supply.

That's right. We can't fight against 'em in numbers, but we've got brains. So far they're pretty sparse, so you can probably fend the buggers off with your sword. Make sure to aim for their necks--their heads slide right off with a good cut.

I'll be seeing you here, then.
