guess i'm feeling kind of disappointed in the whole college process we've all gone through this year. yea, i've known basically where i'll be going for the next 4 years of my life since junior year. but it's so hard to see my friends whom i know are overqualified being rejected and wait-listed. i know we'll never know why certain people get into

I definitely know what you mean... one huge ditto to what you said. What you said reminded me of this thing I read.
"You're gonna love [college] for sure, but make sure you make the best of your time with your home friends because everything changes once you go away. You're gonna change and your friends are going to change also. And for the first time y'all may not change in the same direction because you aren't influencing each other anymore."
That's my fear too, that because we're not going to be around to influence each other, that we might drift apart to the point that we can never get back to the way we use to be. =( It's a sad truth that we have to accept the possiblity that it could happen that way.
I love you and no matter what, if you put in the effort and I do the same, I know we'll never drift apart.
