Just like last year (yup - i copied the sentiments from that post - they are the same), I didn't know what to write here. I still don't but I could not let today go by without saying something - without remembering. Gina, the wise woman that she is, told me that noone is ever truly gone so long as we remember them, so long as we keep their spirit ( Read more... )

No need to screen.

YOu know my email. For that matter, so do most of the people reading this.

If you have something for the kids, they may appreciate it.

One thing I know I will never forget about her was her willingness to help family and friends at the drop of a hat, whether it was to help friends unload their moving truck or to create an extremely important document at the last minute.

Or, in our case, to watch the kids at the near-literal drop of a hat. When mousecat0's brother (Duke) died, I took the initial phone call. They were over for their weekly dinner and laundry run. As soon as she heard what had happened, she immediately informed us (and stoooooooo) that they would watch the kids for as long as was needed, and helped get us out the door. That was the way she was - unselfish, willing to help, expecting nothing in return.

Sudoku - I think Denneal and I discovered it at about the same time. It was just one more thing we found in common (like lighthouses, the beach etc). I remember how happy she was surf fishing and trying to cast, and how excited she was when her Dad caught a big bluefish. Dang, I still miss her.

Hello, what I remember is her spirt and energy for everything and the love she showed for all of us. I too like so many others miss her everyday still. Something I know is that Denneal is watching over Will for us.
