So, he followed the guide to the picnic and was pleasantly surprised at the nice location. Waka walked over to the edge of the lake, hovering just before the water met the shore. The scenic location reminded him a little bit of Nippon.]
Hm...[He tapped his flute on his shoulder. He couldn't leave without his beloved Pilowtalk. If all else failed, he could work his magic with a song.] I wonder what surprise I have in store?

So when a blond man paused at the picnic then continued on to the edge of the lake, she made note of him and continued observing all the passers-by. After a while, she had to assume that he was the one waiting for her. Which was perhaps not all together a bad thing - he had a nice enough appearance and carried a flute.
Firming her resolution in her mind to make the best of this situation, she walks over to the blond man, Guide held in a bag around her neck. And sure enough, when she comes close enough the thing beeps. So she stops and looks up at the man primly, interested in his initial reaction.]

[He then notices the auburn colored cat staring intently at him. He kneels down, holding out his hand.]
Bonjour, mon petite. Heh. Don't worry if I smell like marmoset. That is because of ma cherie... [He smiles fondly at that. Ah, Amaterasu and her penchant for finding animals.
The sight of the guide sticking out of Irene's bag grabs his attention. He looks at it for a second before adressing Irene.] Ah, [He rubs the back of his neck.] you wouldn't happen to be my blind date, would you, mon petite?

[Lifting her paw in greeting, she smiles as best she can at him.]
Bonjour, bon Monsieur. I am indeed your blind date, Irene Adler. [She bobs her head, unable to curtsy properly.]
As you see, I'm afraid that I'm not as I should be. I do apologize, but the agency would not allow me to meet you at a later date.

Heh, I can relate. My few days here at Thor has given me some new perspectives to say the least. [He chuckles. Oh, being a woman was interesting.] No problem, mademoiselle. A friend of mine is a wolf most of time and another is sometimes a snake, so it doesn't bother me at all.
[He gets up and turns to the picnic basket.] Well, mademoiselle, we shouldn't let this food go to waste, qui?

Quite so. No reason to not enjoy the provision- ah. Speaking of that, may I trouble you for the favour of synchronizing our Guides as we were directed? Best to follow the rules of our benefactors.

I'm certain that we can figure it out between the two of us. Here, let us at least have a comfortable seat upon the blanket. If you would be so kind as to lay the things side-by-side?
[Happily, the things seemed to be going about some sort of program automatically, and there was simply a prompt on the screen from the agency asking for confirmation to start the synchronization.
After reading the screens carefully (no more strange fine-print, she hopes), she nods.]
It appears you just have to type 'yes'?

[He types 'yes' onto the confirmation screen and the guide pops back on to its normal screen.] Tres bien. Now, that is settled. [He looks over the park, noticing the boat docked by the lake.] Oh, look, what a nice little boat. We should try it out later, qui? If you're up to it, though. I know some cats don't like water, heh.

Not wanting to even try bringing out food from the basket in her state, she simply relaxed upon the blanket and looked at her date appraisingly. She felt already that this man would be quite amusing.
"If I may, is there a name I can call you by? Or shall it ever be 'Monsieur'?"
