[And she obediently runs through all that is asked of her, and does nothing more. Which is a little odd, for usually she would take the opportunity to flirt a bit with him. ...Well, perhaps for now getting to the bottom of the symptoms is more important, so it's best to not distract him.]

Nothing too serious there. I'd like to listen to your lungs.

[She does seem a little...subdued.]

Are you sure you're feeling all right other than the symptoms you mentioned?

[Nodding at his request, she starts undoing the buttons of her blouse so that he could use the stethoscope.]

Other than those, I feel fine.

[Shrugging out of her blouse she then smiles at him a touch roguishly.]

If the corset impedes you, I will need a hand in removing it.

I think I can work around it for now. Breathe in and out for me?

[He warms up the stethoscope first and has a listen.]

[She does so without comment, looking at the unfamiliar design of his stethoscope a bit curiously. Medicine certainly has changed.]

[And eventually he steps back and puts the stethocope away.]

Your lungs sound fine. It may just be an allergic reaction then.

I'm glad that it is nothing serious. It is easily treatable? [She can't help but remember Sherlock's prognosis...]

Definitely. You don't even need a prescription. I'll write down the names of a few medications you can buy in the shops.

If your throat starts bothering you, let me know. I'm sure you don't want this affecting your work.

Thank you, my dear.

[Watching him write out the names, she idly comments,]

It seems that Mister Sherlock was correct in his prognosis of the treatment of my symptoms. In a way it's a shame - it's far more amusing when he's wrong.

[He sighs quietly. Did she have to remind him?]

Unfortunately he's right more often than he's wrong.

[He finishes writing and hands her a piece of paper.]

At least it's keeping him somewhat busy and out of trouble.

[No, perhaps she shouldn't have mentioned it.
Taking the paper she smiles warmly at him, with a hint of apology moving into more obvious amusement.]

And here I thought that 'busy' and 'out of trouble' were mutually exclusive when it came to him.

Good point. Maybe I should have said "busy and where I can keep an eye on him when he finds trouble"?

[She chuckles lowly at that.] Just so.
[And so long as they were both busy up here, it was a bit less for her to worry about.]

[With a lazy stretch she reaches out to drape her bare arms (for she had not yet put back on her blouse) over his shoulders. Somehow, she feels much more relaxed now than she had during the exam.]

Yet does that make this month any less stressful for you?

Not one bit.

[He reaches up and gently pulls her arms back down.]

As much as I appreciate that, I don't think this is the proper place for it.

Of course it isn't.
[And although she gives him a brief grin that says 'all the more reason for it', she finds herself turning around to pull back on her blouse.]
