Raidou knew that the chances of his and Nagi's home being gone was extremely high now after the trip to Loki. That didn't stop him from coming this way and looking out to see if they were near home. Nope, still that bizarre world with the strange comics and people dressing up as others aboard the ship...

...?

He paused, looking around the hallway. This was... quite the mess.

"Looks like there was quite the struggle..."

He glanced over at Gouto as he knocked at several robot scraps, his tail swinging back and forth almost lazily. Raidou understood, nodding. This was strange; it felt like some other form of energy had destroyed these robots.

Gwendolyn ran out of that room, the piercing screams of a multitude of men still ringing in her ears. Far from the lands of the Vikings, she never knew that men were capable of that pitch. Which was really the last thing from her mind as she back-tracked through one of the corridors she knew she cleared.

...right into a man that wasn't supposed to be there at the moment.

Her disorientation wasn't long, and soon her psypher was up to this man's face. His uniform was sharper, more refined, than any other she had seen so far. Was he a part of the people that wished to pursue her. She wasn't sure of this one's intentions, but if he was going to stand in her way...

"Let me pass!" Was the only thing she could think to say.

Raidou raised an eyebrow, stumbling back just a step. What in the world? This woman had just come dashing out of the men's washroom. Gouto purred, but then hissed faintly as the spear was pointed at his descendant. Raidou stared at the spear, eyes focused on the blue crystal aimed at him. His eyes widened slightly as he gazed. This... crystal... What was this energy?

Slowly, he raised his eyes to the woman, shaking his head. "Calm down. I have no desire to fight you, miss."

Of course, if she still wished to fight him, it wouldn't take long for him to draw his blade.

The man really didn't seem intent to fight. But she was still on edge. Who knows whether he would send more of those minions her way? There was no time to waste.

"Turn around and face the wall. I must get through." She ordered, the spear still raised. She had no intention to strike him, but one way or another she was past this hallway.

"But where will you go?"

He doesn't understand the hostility directed at him, but he's figured it out; she must be the one behind the robotic carnage. What was her reasoning? Hm...

He was clearly stalling.

Gwendolyn's voice tensed, she was not joking here. "That is not your concern! To the wall! NOW!"

He wasn't stalling. He had reasons not to let her pass, but her capture was not the reason.

"If you continue is destructive behavior, you'll endanger other citizens on this ship. I can't allow you to do that. I'm willing to listen to your explanation and lend a hand, but if there's no other way to calm you, I will be forced to engage you in combat."

Had Gwendolyn thought it out, she would have realized that he still hadn't engaged her. If she thought it out, she would know he still wanted to talk. But really, the day was alarming enough that none of these thoughts had the chance of coming to her.

Instead she struck out at him. Vikings and their kin are rather foolish that way, really.

As expected. This girl was going to be a difficult one.

The spear grazed him as he dodged and his hand quickly drew the sword hidden under his cloak. The blade blazed green as he parried, his sword knocking against the underside of her spear in an effort the knock her backwards. He drew his stance low, katana before him. It pulsed with his MAG power.

"Listen to me. I don't want to fight. I want to help you..."

She did not expect to have her spear parried. He was skilled. Yet still he persisted with more stalling tactics. This man was trying her patience. "The time for talking is over. Stand aside now, or my next swing will send your head flying!"

A final warning. She would only listen to him if he backed down now. Anything less than that would be greeted with an ever increasingly volley of spear swings.

"Sounds like a demon's threat..."

"Gouto, that's not the case... Plenty have tried that before you, Miss, and they have failed... Still..."

He twirled his katana in his grip and, just as swiftly as it was drawn, it vanished beneath his cloak. He would just as quickly draw it again if necessary... For now, he stepped aside, eyes darting around. Didn't attract any of the security somehow. Perhaps something else came up.

"... Mind yourself with that spear. There are many survivors here, but not all of them know how to wield weapons."

Gwendolyn retracted her spear, but gave him a curious stare. Why would he let her go? He was so adamant about making sure she didn't leave, but now she was letting her past? Something wasn't right.... something...

...Unless his reinforcements had arrived and were waiting for her further down the hall. Clever. This one was very clever.

Gwendolyn's eyes furrowed. "Do you take me for a fool? I see through your trick!" And with that, she turned around and fled in the opposite direction at all speed. If anything, she knew at least one place that she should not go.

"... There's more security sentry that way."

"Is there?"

"Yes... there gears grinding together give me a headache."

"She's just in a panic... I doubt she has remote familiarity with technology considering what she was wearing and wielding..."

Raidou turned, ready to head off, but Gouto was still looking in the other direction. "...?"

"... That spear of hers. There's something very peculiar about it..."

Raidou shook his head, "She will not explain that anytime soon considering what has now occurred." He dropped his head, expression still blank, "... Isn't this hallway a circle due to the ship's shape?"

"And now you remember..."

You have no idea how canon that is... a_fate_accepted August 8 2011, 21:31:54 UTC
Gwendolyn saw the robots ahead and realized that she had been tricked. If she were to meet that man again, she would be sure to make him pay for his treachery. Rather than charge them one at a time, she decided to change tactics. Unfurling the wings attached to her hips, she took to the sky, soaring over their heads.

As she turned the corridor, her focus turned to surprise when she saw a black-suited man. Her fury for being tricked still overriding her other other emotions, she clasped her spear tightly and dove in straight at him -- her spear poised to strike.

So bloody canon XDDD kuzunohathexiv August 9 2011, 00:48:45 UTC
Annnd there she was. Raidou stepped aside as she dove into a strike. Huh, and here he thought the wings were decoration. Who was this girl exactly?

"Miss, could you please stop for a second so I can explain?" He was going to try not to draw his sword. Really...

Gouto sighed. This was going to take some time.
