[ Remus sort of didn't want to be here, but Lily had insisted. He just wasn't a fan of big parties, and this was certainly huge. Feeling rather awkward in his plain gray t-shirt and pants compared to everyone else in colorful costume, he lurked in the back, trying not to scratch at his bloody face paint.

But then he'd seen the chocolate fountain, and the night became much more bearable.

So, there he is, trying not to be seen eating spoonfuls of the chocolate straight. It was huge! No one would miss a few spoonfuls, he was certain... ]

[She thinks it's supposed to be the wolf that does the stalking of the innocent young girls and all that, but Lily hasn't ever been one for tradition. It was, she thought, very important that everyone keep their spirits high, and Merlin help her she was going to make sure they had a good time whether they liked it or not. Remus had apparently fallen into the "or not" category.]

[she finally spots him over at the - oh hell.]

What?

[ he says innocently, with a spoon full of chocolate in his hand. ]

Put down the spoon and slowly back away.

[she holds her hands out with her palms facing him in a placating gesture]

But not back in the chocolate - and don't just leave it on the - look, give it here. This is an intervention.

[ ROLLS EYES ]

You act like I'm violent or something.

[ hands over the spoon with a sigh. and maybe a wistful look. ]

You might be - I've never tried to stand between you and your chocolate before. [she takes it with a Meaningful Look, and hands over a speared strawberry] That's for fondue, you've at least got to pretend you're interested in the fruit part as well.

I did pretend! For about five minutes.

[ He takes the strawberry anyway. ]

You've got to keep pretending if you want any more chocolate.

[speaking of which, don't mind if I do!] While you're at, you can pretend like you're having a brilliant time.

But I am having a brilliant time. I have a lovely date and I've stationed myself by the desserts.

[ big smile! like you mean it! ]

[Miss Hood here was definitely in a colorful costume, observing the tables full of food. Whoever the host was certainly had quite the eye for detail! There seemed to be food here that she had never even heard of before.

And out of the corner of her eye, she spots a chocolate fountain... hey, what in the world?

She decides to go ahead and interrupt this chocolate eating guy.]

Hmm, sir, are you sure that that's sanitary?

[ blinks. looks over. oh hey that looks kind of like Lily's costume. wonder if she knows there's another girl here dressed like that. ]

Er, well, to be honest probably not, but I'm not carrying any diseases or something.

[ technically that's a lie, but he can't spread the werewolf thing when he's not transformed, so. ]

[Hopefully not. Though it's a costume party, so she figures she could let that much slide. She laughs slightly though.]

You should be careful! You don't want to meet your end eating chocolate, do you?

[Of course not! She's simply here to warn him about the dangers of fountain chocolate.]

Still, it's worth being careful. Then later you could have more! [She giggles.] What's your name?

Oh! Sorry, usually I have better manners-- Remus Lupin, pleased to meet you.

[ He smiles sheepishly, and extends a hand for a handshake. ]

Pleased to meet you as well. I'm B.B. Hood. [She shakes that hand, smiling politely. Something seems wrong about it, but can you tell, Lupin?]
