[Even before they had become actual friends, Lily had always noticed a great similarity between herself and Remus. They both shared the beliefs that if the job was worth doing, it was worth doing well - and, thanks to the influence of a second party, if a job was worth doing well, you might as well have a bit of fun yourself along the way.]
[That was why they, as the designated Responsible Party of their group, had immediately taken on missions upon arrival. It was also why they had decided, as Sand Sculpture Creators, an interactive large-but-not-true-to-scale sand model of the castle they knew best was definitely a good idea. A fair bit of conjured and charmed sand (and a few muttered thanks that magic was not something that needed to be hidden on board the Thor) later, they had done it. Lily was particularly pleased with the moving staircases, complete with the false step that would catch anyone who accidentally trod upon in, and Remus had done quite a bit of charmwork on a comparatively smallish Whomping Willow that snapped sandy branches playfully at anyone passing too closely.]
[The only issue was that some of the charms needed minor reinforcing here and there; Lily and Remus had been trading off on checking in on it. Today, after some poking and prodding at Hogwarts Sand Castle, she plopped herself in the shade, pulled several large, withered books from a bag that was certainly too small to hold them, and began taking notes.]
[And that is where she stayed until you interrupted her.]
