Now that faint flute playing, however inexperienced it may be, happens to reach the ears of a certain park-dwelling forest imp. At first Skull Kid is excited; had another Skull Kid moved into the park with him?? That would be great!

Sadly, Skull Kid was disappointed when he saw it was just another human playing that flute. But still, it was strange to see another person playing instruments in the park. It was still a nice melody, and easy enough to follow. Nanashii might be surprised to hear a second flute joining in on his playing, and if he looks up he might notice the masked imp in the tree.

"What other songs can you play? Huh??" Skull Kid asked, those big eyes on that mask peering down at him.

The eyes were different than what he was used to, but that wasn't surprising. He simply looked back up, expression calm. "Not many. I've been teaching myself what I could."

"Awe..." Skull Kid said, looking a bit dejected. "You should learn more!"

The odd thing was Nanashii could tell the Skull Kid was disappointed, even without the verbal hints. "Would you teach me more?"

Skull Kid blinks, looking up at Nanashii. "You want me to teach you some??" he asked, and by his tone he's obviously not used to being asked such things.

Perhaps it was too much to have asked. Nanashii looked down at his flute and carefully started cleaning it. As if he wasn't disappointed.

"... Forget I asked."

"H-Hey! I know a song!!" Skull Kid said quickly; almost too quickly, like he was trying to say a hurried apology. "I only know one, though..."

It worked, getting him to pause in cleaning and glance back up. "May I hear it?" A song he'd never heard, most likely. How could he not be interested?

Skull Kid nods quickly in response, brightening instantly. He pulls out his flute and begins to play a rather whimsical tune.

Yes, something new. Nanashii listened carefully, relaxing slightly with the cheerful tune. "Thank you."

Skull Kid lowers his flute and giggles a bit. "It's my favourite song!" he pronounced proudly. Given how well he plays it, it's clear that it's a song he has taken the time to perfect it.

He had heard the skill in the song and knew, if that was the only song the other knew, that it mattered quite a bit. "I can see why."

Skull Kid giggled, his chest puffed out a bit. "I can teach you!"

No problem! Happy thanksgiving~ invisiblename October 12 2011, 19:14:43 UTC
At the offer, Nanashii very nearly gave away his anticipation. He wasn't used to offers like that, Midii was different. Perhaps... Perhaps Skull Kid was too?

"If it isn't any trouble..."

Thanks! You too if it's applicable (or am I a month early? XD) majoras_puppet October 13 2011, 02:44:39 UTC
Skull Kid shakes his head; of course it wasn't! It would be a piece of cake!

"It's easy! Let me show you!" And with the eagerness of a child, he begins to show Nanashii how to play his favourite forest tune.
