He'd rather avoid conflict, but Ezio will do what it takes to keep the peace.]

Maybe he won't recognize her in this clothing! She'll just keep her head down and never be looking in his direction. That totally works!]

Until he sees her face.
He's too busy for this right now.]

So when they do?]
...Why are you here?
[Her back is turned to him, and she's busy researching something on her Guide; it's probably the most irritatingly professional tone he's heard from her since the first time they talked.]
Reply
The same reason you are here.
[His tone of voice is even and collected.]

I signed up to work here before you did. I checked.

You are far more suspicious than I am.
Reply
...Yep.
But she finally stops what she's doing and looks at him.]
Suspicious? I'm not suspicious! I told you this was what I was going to do. There are dozens of other jobs, but you're here, distracting me from what I'm trying to do.

[What.]
I needed something to do where my skills would be of use, and this was the best I could find.

[She moves over closer to him, trying to look disinterested in the event that someone walks in. Internally, she's stumbling over thoughts before they turn into words. She knows he wouldn't be that petty, but it's true: she's distracted.]
I appreciate you being here, but I'm not sure I'm going to be able to...
[Deep breath.] I don't even know if you were in your own right mind last week, and maybe I shouldn't have gotten so carried away. I am aware that I've been avoiding you quite pointedly for the last several days, but now I don't have a choice, and I have to stop being a coward. This isn't the place or time to bring it up, but I need to resolve it, so I'm going to do so. Right now. Here.

In truth, he had been half in his own mind that week. Half because he had acted in much the same manner he used to act at that age.
Ezio continues as if he's simply looking through the area, making sure all is truly well.]
So what do you intend to do?

[She stares down at her notes for a moment, then looks back at him. She doesn't have any good answers to give him, because she doesn't know what to do. It was great, wonderful, liberating, but... it was also far beyond the scope of what she possibly should have done.
There's really only one thing for her to do.
...Okay, no, it's probably not the right thing to do, but she's going to do it anyway. It will quickly and easily answer every single question in her mind.
She walks over to him, places two fingers on his cheek, turns his head toward her and plants a kiss on his lips. It's not a simple, plain kiss. It at least has some semblance of something more behind it, even if it's slow and uncertain.
And then she waits, holding her breath.]

And while he does want to kiss her back, her actions as a whole don't connect to each other.
So he gives in, echoing her kiss in much the same manner, but briefly. He's holding back because he simply doesn't know what she wants. Assumptions should never be taken, even in situations like this.
Either he's going to regret having done that or he's going to be glad he did, but in any case, he needs answers from her.]

That's enough of an answer for her, and she pulls away. Her expression is, uncharacteristically, nothing but apologetic. For some reason--not going to think about it--she's been concerned that whatever happened that week was the Drive, and had nothing to do with her in particular. Maybe she was convenient. Maybe he was out of sorts. She's been worried because she knew she wouldn't be able to handle the embarrassment, if that was the case. It was so different than what she's expected, what she had experienced before, and she couldn't find the words to ask him, or even bring herself to voice the concerns.]
It wasn't just because of the Drive, then. Good.
[She looks back to her notes, face serious again. If Ezio looks closely enough, he'll probably recognize the lightness she'd shown during the previous week, the relief of at least not having imagined his interests coupled with the joy of doing something helpful for the refugees.]

He leans in and gives her a quick peck on her cheek. They both have work to do, though his agenda goes beyond simply making sure the clinic is secure.]

[She gives him a glance and the ghost of a smile.]
If something happens, let me know. I'll back you up.
I don't like the other orderly. She's... there's something strange about her.
