Who: FACE and Jasmine (sorry, everyone else. There will be Christmas with the world, okay? ♥)
tumetiens, totalherovoice, maple_syrup_can, kadeir_teyrnon, orangemineral
What: Today is Canadian Thanksgiving! And he has invited his family plus girlfriend over to celebrate. But... how is this a good idea? (Especially in the wake of this... and all the other recent shenanigans...)
When: Monday October 10, evening
Where: Room 6-6a
Warnings: Horrible family relations.

Canada looked forward to Thanksgiving very much. It had been a challenge to get the right foods here, but he'd managed it. There was actual turkey, savoury stuffing, creamy mashed potatoes and gravy, honey-glazed carrots, something that was a passable substitute for asparagus, and strawberry rhubarb pie for dessert. (Made by France, because he'd felt bad doing everything. And... Canada had a hard time making crust.) The strawberries had been amazingly expensive - and so had the water - but so worth it.

Never before had he been in a position to have all of his family over at once so easily... This would be nice! It would help foster a good relationship between all of them...

So long as France and England didn't get into another fight here again.
Or America and England.
Or so long as Jasmine wasn't accosted with embarrassing questions.
Or America told embarrassing stories...
Or--
...

Canada's face sunk into a dreadful panicked expression as he stood at the stove stirring the gravy.
How was this a good idea? There was... no way something was not going to happen... Oh, maple-!

And then there was a knock at the door.

N-no, this was going to be okay. Honest. They would talk about stuff other than.... awkward stuff and have a nice dinner and it would all be okay. Pulling himself together, Canada prepared to have... the best Thanksgiving possible.

[[ooc: So here it is! We are crazy for having a log with 5 people, but here goes! Start threads for whatever conversations you would like to have. Set it at the dinner table (I hope you like Canada's cooking), after dinner over coffee and tea, maybe pulled aside from the hubbub for a moment - whatever works!
Nosy characters might threadhop, and even us non-nosy ones might overhear things, so be sure to mention if you want a thread closed.
I'm going to start one thread that encourages one round of speaking for each of us, but feel free to break it off into separate conversations.
Canada made - what he felt to be - as diplomatic a seating arrangement as possible: as host he is at the head of the rectangular table. To his left is France and America. On his right is Jasmine and England.
Prose or action style is a-ok!]]
